I am just getting into the bender thing with a JD4. What in your opinion are the best dies to have around. I figure that 180 degree dies are best to have, though what tube dia and centerline is used the most. I am thinking 1.5, 1.75, and 2.0.
Should I get matching radius dies? Thanks for the help

2.5 is common for exhaust

A friend of mine recommended getting the smaller radius dies because they are a little more versatile.
I myself have a JD2 model 3 with a 1" 180* 3" radius and a 1.5" 180* 4.5" radius dies.

If you are going to run .120 min. then get a tight radious but if you want to bend .095 then you might have to get a larger radious. Size wise get the die you need most and then buy them as you go.
