hey yall, im thinking about linking the rear of my k5, and after seeing another chevy using bronco coils, im looking for some more info from you guys, since u all do drive fords. first off, what is the ID" of the '78-79 coils? im planning on using the bronco coil buckets, i should be able to find them fairly cheap. also if you guys could give me a rough idea on how tall the coils are (stock, or lifted) im looking to get around 9" of lift in the rear, so im trying to determine which size lifted coil i need to go with. i know weight also will determine it, im just looking for a rough figure for now. the other guy on here running bronco coils is using 6" lifted coils, but he also retubed his frame up higher. if you guys could give me those measurements that would be awesome!
also, in your guys experience, how do the lifted coils flex? im deciding between the broncos or maybe hypercoil or other companies.

Superflex coils are very flexy, available through Broncograveyard.com and you might find measurements there. I have them on the front and would get a pair for the back if I back half it and link it up.

I'm going to be putting a set of wildhorses bronco coils on the front of mine. I like the idea of a progressive rate coil. Hopefully it'll soften up the ride a little bit.

A WH 5.5" lift coil, loaded height is at around 17"
The 5.5" lift coil from WH is 236/375 rate, 21.5" free length.
The 3.5" lift coil from WH is 204/375 rate, 20 1/8" free length.
JBG 6" superflex coil is 300 lb/in rate and 24" free length.
Going outboard of the frame is better for stability but you may be better off under the frame, so the coil will not have to be as long.
I was also told that there is a height difference between the EB coils and the 78/79 ones. Can anyone confirm this?
