OK posted my question in the Jeep forum and got no help, so now I'll ask the Chevy experts. I've put a 96 S-10 Vortec V6 into my 95 Jeep Wrangler and I seem to have an issue with the EVAP system. I used the charcoal cannister from the s-10 and I'm wondering if that didn't hooked in right. On the cannister there are 3 ports. One goes to the tank, one to the engine, but the large one is just capped off. When I first put it together I left it open (it says "Air" next to it). When it was open I got no vacuum in the tank and the computer threw codes for that. When I capped it I got negative vacuum in the tank (air blows out the filler when the cap is removed), and it throws a code.

What I'd like to know is how is the cannister hooked up in a stock setup. Specifically, what does the large port connect to? I've heard it goes to the tank, but is there anything between the tank and the cannister, or does it just go to the vent line, or ???
