hey, guys.
I'm looking for some techg help on a tranny swap. I have a 4spd auto from a later model track/kick and I'd putting it in a '90 2dr. I started the wiring a little while back. I'm running into an issue with it. I have a Haynes manual. The wiring schematic basically shows that the wiring is all the same (all years to around '99-ish). That manual has been proven to be incorrect for other items, so I am doubting the manual.
In trying to wire up the tranny wiring harness to the '90s ECU, litterally half of the wires dont match anything near the ECU harness. I know that some have swapped autos into their Samis, so, basically, if anyone has some good direction on wiring, or in locating acurate schematics, would be appreciated.
Due to a (hidden) covenance in my neigborhood, I'm trying to do the wiring first, and keep the Tracker driveable during the transition.... but if I gotta tear it down, any help to make it as swift as possible would be good, too. :)
