curious if anyone hauls there rig with a 12' trailer? "EDITED" i here its a bit short for smooth highway travel.
i hear 16' is ideal, but i would like to know if anyone has ran this setup with a trailer.
my rig is pretty light, and the truck im pullin with is long bed
also its dual axle.
Is that a 14' Deck, or 14'LOA?

i put 14' i meant 12', the guy that has it, hauled a toyota truck with it. said it worked fine. here is what he says it is
12' trailer, tandem axle w/ electric brakes. 6' ramps included. Black in color. good shape. needs new wood.
6' 4 3/8" wide
12' long

I have seen some of the zuki guys run single axle short trailers and really like it. If the price is right sounds like a good trailer!
Of course I can't speak haul my sammi on a 20 foot deck trailer

i figure the weight of the jeep cant matter. since backhalfing it, i had to loose a good 250lbs ish.
if it matters much, i have a long bed truck

I would think it would be fine, I have a 14' (+2) and have no problems.

My biggest worry would be good brakes on it.

I hauled a zuke on a 6x12' utility type trailer (w/ brakes) for almost 3 years. There wasn't any dove on that.. It was a great trailer, super light (1100#) it tracked well and was easy to move around.. I had to use chains around the front toung V due to it being short, but other wise did the job... It was rated for 5000# but it did have 2 normal 3500# axles..
Other vehicles i put on the 12' trailer:
Uncut toyota pickup (backwards)
TJ (with stock wheels swaped on)
Stock YJ (start of my current 1ton jeep)
Several cars and tons of cargo..

thanks good to know.
i talked to the guy with the trailer, he has been haulin around a stock cj7 and he said at 70mph on the highway, it works great.
i am sure my jeep weighs a bit more, but after the linking and backhalf, i lost alot of weight back there. thanks for the input yall.

I haul a Zuk on a 14 and a buddy has a 12 for his. We both have Big Tex 70CH's (7,000 lb rating). 2 axles w/brakes. Both work great. I sometimes wish I had got the 12 after he told me how much tongue weight he had, 350 lbs. I had to screw around to find the sweet spot on mine so I would have only 500lbs. IMO shorter trailers distribute the weight better with the axles closer to center.
