Looking for a decent 4 cycl Enduro. Any real gems/dogs??

I'm a biased opinion, but I highly recommend you get something with the E button. I can't tell you how nice it is to not have to kick start the new DRZ! Had the XR400 come with water cooling and electric start I would have bought one for sure.;)

I wouldn't mind electric start, but I don't have to have it either. BTW, I'm looking for an older bike.

It's all them other unrealiable bikes that need electric start. :flipoff2: And water cooling is just extra weight.

Hmm, the CR250 I used to own never started on the first kick. Ever. That was after a complete rebuild too from the main bearings up, crank, barrel, head piston, rings and all. I am not too familiar with the Honda four strokes, but if you say they start on the first kick I'll take your word for it.

Water cooling certainly adds additional weight, but it also allows the motor to run at a much more consistant operating temperature. The simple fact of the matter is that a hot engine loses performance, and runs inefficiently.

Anyway the point is moot really as Mick's looking for an older bike. Which by definition would mean an air cooled, kick start model. :flipoff2:

Look into the earlier 90s KTM and Hausebergs there great bike with a good name. and there all kick and E-start. you can usually find them for a pretty decent price just have to look around a little bit. I have a 97 620 and it rocks but its a little too much bike .
