I just picked up a rusted out 86 cj7. I was wondering if swaping both axels into my 93 yj would be an improvement? The front is a d30 with hubs, and the rear is a 44. I know this has most likely been done before, but any information will be helpfull. Thanks

I also am swapping in the dana 300, if i dont flip it, it should work fine with the passenger side drop right/

The CJ axles will be 4" narrower and the spring perches will be in the wrong place (the Cj has a narrower spring width than the YJ).
All in all, a shitty idea.

I can get some wheel spacers to solve the width problem, and it was pretty obvious that i need to move the perches, I will be going soa, so i will pick some perches that are 2.5' so they fit my yj springs. Doesnt really seem to shitty, just wondering if there were any more Un-obvious problems in that recipe ty for the feedback

4" worth of spacers is, IMO, why it's a shitty idea. And that's just to get it back to stock width.
I'd be surprised if your wheel bearings, especially in front, will hold up to that for any length of time.
