Heres a brain teaser for youall..

When I try to start my zuk in the morning or at least when it has
been resting a while, my starter sticks on.. I have to work the ignition on and off and eventally after 15-30 tries , It stops sticking and I can go..

if I try to drive.. the starter is still engaged and either grinds horribly, but the sound stops (as does the starter engagement ) as soon as I let off the cluctch( I suspect this is a fucntion of the clutch defeat cutting the power to the starter) is this a problem with the ignition switch? should I replace this? Has anyone ever even seen this problem?
how much does a ignition switch cost and will I have to get new keys?

you guys are swell!

Thanks!:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

either ignition switch or the selanoid.
Call carquest or southern auto....the switch with keys are 40 bucks....and just get a new starter....

Sticking solenoid, keeps the drivepinion engaged, will ruin the little roller cam clutch pretty quick if you don't fix.

If it broke, fix it.

Buy a cheap second hand starter from a scrap yard. Should only run 25-30.00 bucks. Sounds like the solonoid is sticking. If you don't fix it, it will do more damage.

Hey i just fixed my starter yesterday... solenoid was burnt through but i had a bunch of junk starters.. ANyway i pulled the solenoid off and they get all gunky in there.. My bet is if you pull it off there you could spray it out and wipe it off and be back in shape.... maybe ;)
