Snoopy---- I just saw your new project---- a **** YJ. Have you gone to the other side or are you still an IH guy? After Rusty I was waiting in the wings for another kick a** Scout. Hope we see you back in the fold sometime.

I'm impressed. I was sure you guys had saw that ~ and I was sure I'd get called out, but didn't think it would have taken this long. It seems that in this world you're either being talked to ~ or being talked about. So before you guys organize a mob, pick-up the noose, pitchforks and torches ~ perhaps this will explain some:

Some of you will hate me for this build. By all means, go ahead. But before you cast judgment on me, think of what I'm trying to do ~ and the economics of building a scout vs. building a jeep.
Speaking of building a kick-butt scout. I started putting together a cost detail of my next scout build ~ yes folks, there will be one and the engine alone was over $7k w/ the MPFI and full on rebuild ~ that's more than the entire YJ build budget. Needless to say, that's going to come another day ~ with any luck, this YJ thing will bring more than I expect and once we meet the $$ goals, I'll have some left over to start a personal scout build like Rusty.

It just doesn't seem right at all that an IH guy, with no IH. I have 2 now, again and others have way more than me. We're not even a vendor.
It is just sinful. :shaking:
Look at the one I picked up for the wife. A $1,600, 40,000 mile SSII.
Then I wheeled the piss out of it this weekend.
Broke nothing. I got a free 3.92 up ARB for it already. :grinpimp:
I Know YOU should be able to at least build a beater wheeler.
Everything doesn't have to be brand new and the best. Just good.
Yep, I am ragging on you! :flipoff2: Screw the Jeeps.

No hate at all Snoopy---- Just wondering why. And yes you do have a VERY GOOD reason for the build. The only reason I started this was wondering if we would see more incredible Scout's or if that part of your life was over. Now that I understand why, I agree with your reasons, just hoping for another kick-ass Scout in the future.
BTW Good luck in your quest.

The last thing you need to worry about is me stopping to build the most cutting edge scouts out there. I'm working on getting some parts (USPS lost them twice!) for the next scout. Freakin thing will be awesome. Basically I'm working on a 4-link F&R kit for scouts (to go coils).
Thanks for the props SRS ~ I knew I'd get some greif about that build ~ and that's besides the grief I give myself.

All I know is if YOU don't have an IH for the June IH Moab run, Not a damn Jeep, You had better hide.
And if you do, I expect it to stay ahead of my junk.:grinpimp:
I will supply the Jeep fool for all of us IH Guys and girls.:)
As for a 4 link, I HAVE to go to a link suspension as much as I don't want too. Front and Rear.

I'd be willing to risk it. It's not like you ever wheel anything worth using an ARB anyway. from what i've seen, a nice trac-loc would be perfect :flipoff2: :p
