no what i'm looking for is a big stud looking thing that is welded or bolted thur the bumper and is the pivot poit that the tire carrier swings on seen on many jeeps damn thing has to be 7/8 1 1/4 round i can find many companies that sell the whole rack but i just want the pin/bolt/stud thing:D

I used a spring hanger from a semi truck. The "pin" is a 1.25"x6" bolt. The hanger is forged Alum with a bronze insert. You might be surprized what a 1.25" grade 8 bolt and nyloc nut cost!

thanks old scout that is our heavy duty spindle rated at 7000lbs
we also build a standard spindle rated at 3500 lbs
both use double taper bearings and have seals at the bottom
our heavy duty spindle is cnc machined out of 3"od 3/8 wall dom tubing ..
our standard spindle is machined from 2 1/2"od 1/4wall dom tubing

btw that is one of the bumpers we build

Rockstomper has a henge on their site that looks pretty strong. They have a guy sitting on a 35 inch tire with it swung out and it doesn't look like it is deflecting at all. As far as the catch goes, I ordered mine through a guy here in Waco who ran Low Range Jeep and 4 wheel drive and he ordered it from a machine shop in germany.

you can weld anything you want to them square or round
we have built swingouts from both , i like 2x2 1/4 wall ...
