pix never tell the whole story so i cant tell you it's right or wrong by the pix sorry .. i will say that at full droop if the spring is coming away from the adjustment collar you may have to stiff a spring rate but like i said i cant tell by the pix ..
i'll be at calrocs this weekend on fri during tech i'll stop by and say hello we can talk about it ..

5 weeks ago...(I've been collecting ideas for a while, like everyone else)........when I said I would like to run a rig in CalRocs (but I just sold mine) and Mike from bent and twised said I couldn't make it :smokin: ............oh really fool

probably in the parking lot here at the shop before It goes on the trailer......first off-road test, competition course one! :eek: I was expecting no less

A run down on the specs

1.75 tube chassis, hydrolic steering, 22r, toy 5 speed, Marlin crawler, 5.29's detroit/lockright, 87 toy rear end shaved, 80 toy front end, Sky-Manufacturing hi-steer, Hi-angle drivelines (two piece front d-line) Bent and Twisted coil conversion kit w/stock xj coils front, 16" sway a way coilovers rear, 3/4 hiems 1.5x.250 DOM links, 10 gal fuel cell, rear mounted radiator and battery, sprint car seat, racing go kart steering wheel and wheel disconnect kit, plexiglass sides, 37 ssr's,longfields (if they get here in time :eek:

quite a few things but we got time (left shop at 1:30 last night and going back 7:30 this morning) sleep who needs sleep on out

brake plumbing, e-brake, firewall/floorboard, finish welds, fluids basically alot of little things

Just got done running around town for parts time to start wrenching and fabbing and welding, and Eric from Hi-angle driveline is bringing down my drivlines this afternoon this thing theoretically could roll tonight but with no brakes plumbed it wouldn't be able to stop:D

:D :D :D It sounds like evereywhere around the world it's always the same when building new cars. Just a bit before the race you drive it around your workshop or farm and then to trailer and you are just so tired that it sure would nice to get some shut eye :)

We are also in the same situation in with our new car Alfaster. First race is at Saturday and we haven't tested the car at all in the woods and rocks.

most of our competitions have just two classes.

It's final wheel base is 110 3/4 and with that comes a 4ft front d-line so Eric from High Angle Drivelines came up with some custom sh!t for me.....

The original plan was to run my SSr's, but Mike wasn't able to make the comp because of business obligations, so he is letting Nick run his 37 MTR's which will be way better than my SSR's, which are 4 sale by the way.

I'd say from the pics that you are very well balancedas far as spring rate goes. Must have taken some thought to get the coils and coil-overs working smoothly together, better than most i have seen. It also looks like the angle you put in the lower links is helping to correct flex-steer. Good Job!

And the 2-piece front shaft is cool too, keeps it up outta the way...
