I have a turbo 400 attached to a 208 (which could change) in my chevy and I'm wondering what other options I have besides a 203 combinded with a 205 for the doubler, are there any others out there for my truck?????

Find a divorce mounted np 205 and put it behind your 208, that way you keep the deeper low range of the 208 plus the almost 2:1 reduction of the 205 thatll get you somewhere @ 5.18:1 low range. Or you could get some kind of over/underdrive i.e. gear vendors under/overdrive. Good luck in your quest for a creepier crawler.

What about a 203 with WMS's new 3.6 gears? What is wrong with the 203/205? Too much?

I've got a NV4500, and a 203 now, and will be doing the doubler in the near future. The lower gears are something else I would like to have. How do I find out more about WMS? What is their webpage? phone number?
Thanks, Phil

I've been playing in the rocks for about 5-6 years now, it hasn't played in the mud for along time.
As for the 203/205 I would like to find something different that might gear me down further.
As for going with the manual tranny I really like my auto.

FYI, WMS has abandoned the 3.6 gear set for the NP203. Apparently they would not fit in the Ford cases without extreme modification. So, they have scaled their new gears for all 203 cases (Ford, Dodge and GM) back to 3.0:1.
I thought the price for the 3.6 gear set was reasonable. With the ratio only being 3:1, it is not quite so attrative to me.

Kristen, you could probably squeeze a Klune between the 400 & 208... I'd still go with the doubler myself though.
