I've got a chevy 350 with a turbo 350 in my cruiser now with a quadrajet carb. I am wanting to go to fuel injection do any of you have any suggestions as what i should use? Also i need to keep the cost down so the multi-port injection i'm sure will be out of the question. Tbi is going to be the cheapest way to go. the factory tbi from chev,or maybe a howell or ? Any help will be appreciated. I already put a post in the wanted section for a system. Thanks for your Help...

You might try this site. I have done some research on this and have heard good things about this guy. The price is good and i have learned alot about TBI systems from this site. I will most likely buy from hime once I get my motor back together.http://www.customefis.com

Thanks for the help and the web site. I tried the web site but had no luck the page would not come up. Is that the correct spelling? Or maybe their site is down currently.

you can do asearch on this subject and will
get a lot of info,

SO this is just my opinion but remember

my opinion is not to be questioned:flipoff2:

1. A vortec system is the best overall system
but is the most complicated,
ther is a person on this board who goes buy the
name medusa and you will need his help if you go the vortec route he is grumpy but will help
you exspechialy if you are good at giveing complements.
BUT YOU BETTER FIGURE OUT WHY THEY CALL HIM MEDUSA
BEFORE ASKING ANY QUESTIONS

2. adapting a older chevy tbi.
ther are a lot of peopple who will
sell a kit to do this or you could
buy the book from jags that run and
scavenge all of the parts and do it youre self

3.buy the newer holly digital proinjection
probubly the easiest option but will
need to get it fine tuned buy some one who
knows what thay are doing or spend a lot
of time figureing it out.

HOPE THIS HELPS.

I have a new howell harness, pump and ecm. I got a throttlebody and distributor from a bone yard off a 350. I'll sell for $600

The link and page seem to work for me.

I really like the ability to program your own fuel maps with the Holley TBI. But if you dont already have a lap top you will need to buy one adding to the over all cost. I would also think that once the optimum settings have been achieved you might not ever use this feature again unless you make a drastic change to your engine.

Jeez, Howell.. when they first came out with the kit for the 258 Heeps (YJ), my roomate bought one.. their guy who programmed the ECU's had left the company, and a new guy was doing it. We found (and it was all over the diy-efi list) that the specified A/F ratio on cold start was on the order of 8:1!!

We wound up learning to burn chips for the GM system, and it works awesome now...

Not saying the kit you have won't work perfectly, it probably will.. it just jogged my memory....
