TH400 question??????

While I was laying under my ol burb changing the O2 sensor I noticed a sensor with one wire coming out of the driver side near the bottom of my TH400. Any Idea what this is and where it hooks up too? The wire coming off of it is cut and I can not find the other end to be able to determine it. I looked in my Chilton but they do not give much info on the Trannys. It is an 89 burb 454 was replaced with a 502 and still has stock tranny.

maybe it is the electric kick down.. isnce i know the 4oo's have the electric kickdown cables...

Orange wire? It would be the kickdown wire into the side of the case near the pan. Find the other end and splice it back together. Could be somewhere up on the top of the trans towards the bellhousing
