Anyway, Howdy all! I'm new here. I look forward to learning all about scouts, how shitty they are, and what a big bunch of faggots there are that hang out in this section.
School me please,

The Fleckster 12-03-2006, 02:39 PM In the interest of 4wheeling and attracting more people to the sport can we stop acting like kids on a playground (meet me after school at the Flagpole....) and get back to some tech or at least some 4x4 related stuff:D
"Why can't we all get along"
I am sure i opened a can of worms and some of you will hate on me for it, but really come on man, every new person who joins the list is one of us in some way or another be it they just started out with 4x4's with a Toyota or ? and have not seen that Scouts were God Creation on the 8th day or not. I mean we all started somewhere too. My first 4x4 experiance was a trip in a Buddies Traveler going up in the mountains, and taking a right off a road up a log Skidder trail:eek: and going strait up the side of the mountain. I was hooked from that point on.
Peace Out:)

thats true but i dont really remember my first 4x4 experience, i was just lookin for a cheap truck when i was 15, so my dad said "get a scout" i looked em up on the internet, and have been in love with them ever since. i think i just drooled over pics of them crawlin over shit and loved to do the same thing.
but the way he asked is a fawkin joke, then he acts like there's nothing wrong with it?!? come on get real... you dont go and say how shitty they are and say that were all fags:shaking: and nothing in his post does it say anything about lockers, it just happens to be is post title... wtf does this guy want??

larboc@hotmail.com 12-03-2006, 08:25 PM I think my favorite part about this board is that it makes people wrench for spite. Did me anyway, theres no way I would have finished if it hadn't been for the "You suck go eat a knife and wash it down with bleach cause you are too stupid to do anything" stuff. Kinda fun once you get used to it. I hope there's enough hate and pissing to keep me on track with the hpd60 14bolt 460 c6 and dare i say 205-205 doubler project this summer.

I've learned that there are alot of people on here that REALLY know their shit when it comes to playing on the rocks and you will find the advice they give you to be founded on experience. Just set back and read, it's all been done before.

Sorry John, that stuff is for the "other" boards. There is a reason I've been here so long and have a relatively small post count. I got schooled early on and learned to STFU and read the insane ammount of info on this board.
Every person from this board I have met I'd go drink beer with anyday. I cannot say that of any other group/board/whatever I've been a part of. Straight answers and a Red Forman "dumbass" style comment when your being dumb is my kinda place.
If somebody wants to know something, even if its been covered a time or two and cant find a certain will get an answer if he/she asks correctly. So eat the Trolls alive and fuck'em if they cant take what they started! That goes for thier butthurt friends too.

i asked the original question because my scout i had tore through the mud like a tractor. my yota.. well lets just say i hope the roads dont get too icy.
the original thread got closed.
some people were talking shit so this alternate thread with the same title was opened.
this thread should be closed as well as it has no purpose.

What one? Fleck's or one of the other "Anybody ever done a spring over before" ones? I got 200 results from searching spring over in the IHC section.
If the original butthurt party would have searched D27 here you would know its a closed knuckle POS that wont hold up to 31's and hard wheeling. Just because they are usualy 3:37 on the V8s or 4banger 4 speeds, or 4:27/4:89 on the 4banger 3 speeds doesnt mean they are a worthwhile swap into anything. Searching would have shown you this, common axel swaps, steering etc.
So you broke rule #1 and are butthurt about being called a noob...too bad.

I do make a rather spicey chilli :flipoff2: , glad ya liked it. Nothing better than hot chilli when its snowing like a mug out!
BTW-still got that Scout 80/800 top you offered me three years ago?
Sure do, what piece do you want :D my sawzall was bored one day. I have one on my current project you can have though. Its in decent shape and has a roof carrier on it. Some rust but nothing bad.
rocknbronco 12-09-2006, 03:33 PM what a tarded post and what is it with the negativity of this BB anytime you have a odd ideal everyone is ready to smack it down, that is of couse if it doenst involve a mustang or T5 thats just plain goofy.

That was spicey chili (and extremely tastey), but I was refering to its temperature rather than 'spiceyness' level. Maybe it was because I was somewhat chilled (damn snow) but I remember feeling that chili cook me all the way down!
It absolutely hit the spot and certainly helped me get through the long drive home. :grinpimp:

The non-sawzall'd top would be great. :D What part's rusted? My current top has rust at the seams and above the liftgate. Surface rust is no biggie, but rot sucks. BTW-Got a Scout 80/800 tailgate that's not drilled for the factory tire carrier?
MochaMike 12-09-2006, 09:28 PM BTW-Got a Scout 80/800 tailgate that's not drilled for the factory tire carrier?
Holes from a tire carrier?
Nothing a welder & grinder can't fix.
Oh yeah, this thread is so great that....

Creepy196 12-10-2006, 03:57 PM Holes from a tire carrier?

:flipoff2: No shit, but the holes are somewhat 'stretched' due to years of weight pulling on them, and are on either side of the raised 'International' lettering. Keeping visible heat distortion to a minimum in that area will be tricky. I'm no sheet metal repair guru. Also, the top two holes are right below the top seam (under a shelf and therefore dificult to reach). It's all certainly doable, but if I can avoid it by simply swapping a clean tailgate in that'll be one less round of welding/grinding to be done on this Scout. There's plenty to be done already, plus what's needed for the SII and the Travelette...
I just figured I'd ask since he was offering something free already! :flipoff2:
