while driving down the road yesstarday.. my engine died.. pulled it home about a mile..
started tearing into it..
the thing will turnover fine but wil not start..
ive got juice o the electronic ignitaion.. and iv got juice out of the electronie ignition.. but nothing out of the coill.. so i replced it with one from autozone.. closetcheapest place.. going msd soon.. any way sum one said sumthing abou the crank case sensor of the bell housing.. if it was bad my enigne wouldnt start.. i tried by passing it.. but nothing.. so as i stand now .. new coil with no juice still.. any one had this problem or know what i can do to correct this problem..?
any help would be greatly apperciated.. this is my daily driver ..

I am not sure, but I do not believe you can "jump" the sensor. I am drawing a blank on the correct name right now. That senses a magnetic ring on the flywheel and is crucial for operation. I would replace that first because it is only $16 at the dealer. It was the cause of much greif on a previous Cherokee my wife drove.

ur refering to the crank presenece senor. aka cps.. replaced it .. cost actually $30.00
so now im drawin a blank.
im to the point imready to start ripping wires out and starting over.... but i cant find a wireing harness from 4wd..
bout time to find a 4.0 with the wiring.. or sumthing .. im goin nuts..
sum one suggestion sumthing..

check your exhaust, my cat grenaded and plugged the pipes, did exactly what you said. Keep me updated, your the 4th person to have this problem

a clogged cat .. can keep the coil from firing.?
that dont make sense.. plus with a clogged cat .. dont u noticea loss of power before it just shuts down..
dont get me wrong ill try that in the morrin.. im so :mad3: curenntly i told a buddy whos been wanting my jeep that tonight only ill trade for his 94 chevy with yes ifs..
currently im leanin towards either the ignitation mod.. or the brain..
any ideas guys?

lol, missed that part. Actually, there was NO power loss, it just built up and shot into the muffler, instant clog, jeep die, I cry. good luck, i still want to know whats wrong when you find out. Ever tried kicking it? Works for my computer.

tried both.. guess im gonna have to go out and look for that 4.0 tomorrow.. damn the old lady is gonna love this..

ALMSOT FORGOT ABOUT THE STARTER RELAY I REPLACED THIS MORRIN....
TOOK THE OLD ONE OFF A PRONG WAS BROKE.. SO I REPLACED IT ..
ITS A AR113 STARTER RELAY FOR A LATE 70'S AMC DIESL.... AND THIS IS ON A 89 YJ 2.5 WTF.?

Check your coil wire unless you tested for spark directly off the coil post.

yes i tested off the coil post..
what im not understanding is what the coil has to do with the fuel pump fuel rail should be pumping shouldnt it?
