I know someone out there must know how to do this! I've read about it on TLCs,M37s on IH8Mud etc but I can't find the details of the mod. Supposedly you use parts of a NP200 and can end up with two rear outputs for the NP205 one of which would be offset to the passenger side, ideal for the rear Rover axle. If possible I'd like to find the actual procedure rather than re-invent it myself.

Thanks!

the NP200 gearset fits in an NP205 case. You have to replace the 8 bolt cover with the NP200 ouput shafts and bearing retainer.

Thats it? Cool- I've searched everywhere and all I could find out was that it could be done(well at least some people said so, others said it was impossible...) Even saw a 6*6 YJ done with one but no one really seemed to know what was truly involved. I have a friend who has a 205 in his disco and there are obvious clearance issues, this swap should clear them up. If it works out well I might even try it in my 109...

Thanks!

when you get the np205 and 200 side by side it will be pretty clear. There are some post on pirate regarding this conversion, search here.
