Imageshack was giving me problems, so i'll link to my gallery on JustIH for ya fawkers, and in a minute i'll try attaching them. Don't know if its the same as the BB where you've gotta be logged in to view them.

Yeah, we all know its scientifically proven orange wheels better:flipoff2:

Edit: fawk, justih won't take my picts right now either. I'll start a thread there and try linking them. I need $20 so I can post directly on this site:rolleyes:

Edit #2: Fawk it, i'm too tired to deal with these problems now. Here's the linky to the BB thread http://www.binderbulletin.org/forums/showthread.php?p=371657#post371657

Then Sat Mechanos and Misterfubar showed up to partake in some kooky local festivities. A rousing good time was had by all but the dart players and a broken dirt devil vaucum. After a few drinks it seemed like a good idea to spend sunday at my local shopping mall laying on the ground with the temp in the low 20's. Poor fubar didn't know what he was getting into, but held up well. I hope he saw the folly in our twisted ways and folllows a smarter path:D They left today with Mechs truck only sagging a little under the load of 2 front 60's, a 14b, a 32 sp 203, a round 32 sp 205, a ford 205, a fisher hydraulic snowplow pump and controls, and some pretty filthy carharts. No matter what Mech may say if he doesn't have pics its all hearsay:flipoff2:

Diesel Smoke
12-03-2006, 09:33 PM
Saturday was the annual IHSTO snow ride. We had about the perfect weather for it, sunny mid 30's-40's and clear as the eye could see. Had mild to willd rigs show up and everyone had a great time. The perfect return for Binderbound as trailboss!

I wheeled the diesel as the parents were coming along. Took it up a "hard line" just to show off what it could do, much to my Mom's objections! Even broke a little trail, figured if we wanted to see if the stockers could make it, we should probably send the longest and most under powered one of the bunch!

Poser shot.

Some of the group gathered around for the lunch fire.

Blingin' Travelall anyone?
http://img238.imageshack.us/img238/3311/dsc0019mw2.jpg

Had a heck of a time trying to get this thing turned around. The 392 in front kept wanting to head down hill as soon as it started spinning. Finally Uglyscout hooked onto it and used his 304 power to pull it up the hill. Anyone who says you can't wheel with a 304 is full of shit, Ugly wheels the crap outta his.

A few more pics!
Here's the Twins, Lewd and Uglyscout. Ugly was sporting a Terra top for this trip and had the push-me-pull-you look going, although you can't see it.

And finally my little snow dog Hamil. She's getting old, but still loves going out with the family.

Sunday went raffle prize shopping for the club Christmas party, then sat on my ass the rest of the day. Going to spend a few hours studying for my dispatching midterm and call it a day.

I didn't realize the GirlScout was done.. I thought it was one of those 10-year projects with the pace of updates to the thread.. ;)

We hunted Christmas Trees.

Loaded up the "street" (hah!) Scout with a pot o' chili, the cordless sawzall, and an assortment of crap including Joleigh in the carseat and the sled.

Next time, the Travelall should go.. you can stow two big sleds in the back and forget they're back there for years.. but to get it into the Scout, you have to slide it over the back seat and tuck it under the fronts, and let the rear wedge up against the rear edge of the top.

Had to take the Scout with door-seals, doors that close, an interior, and no carbon monoxide problems, so Tigger stayed home.

Chris just regeared the F250 with 5.13s and a new ARB in the front 60, and put on some 39.5 IROKS (I have tire envy again) and they did a fine job with Nick on the sled.. and with Nick belly-surfing, too.

I think diesel smoke has been drinking. I'm trail boss, not trail ride. And girlscout's dads screen name is major screwup, not major pain.

Good trail ride. Found some deep stuff that most everyone else didn't want to explore. Lewd and I hit waist deep snow around 4500 ft. We were surprised by a Toyota club being silly in the deep stuff.

I killed an alternator and a fan belt coming home. It was a 30 year old belt, I'm sure.

Put the rear of my rig up on jackstands Saturday...The rear tires decided not to hold air. Not a problem...Jack it up, throw about 5 psi in the tire to get rid of the wrinkles...and put it back on jackstands to give the "appearance" of inflated tires...

Sunday went through my parts that I am going to try and sell on some local boards or ebay.

Last night I competed in the finals of a Karaoke contest...

Long weekend for me... went down to Alabama on thursday.... came back to KC on friday. Then drove to Indiana on saturday with Misterfubar... got weireded out by trombones and tubas when we got caught in the middle of some weird Sticksville sausage festival. Froze my ass off Sunday in a JY in Chicago, but I did score an 32-spline input NP203, a 32-spline input Chevy NP205 round pattern, and a Ford NP205 (for the 32-spline front output shaft). Then loaded up 2 D60F's and a 14 bolt and drove 9 hours home. We got the axles unloaded and MF's two axles loaded into his truck at about 2am this morning.

A looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooonng but interesting weekend.

Took both my girls on bike rides to the local parks Sat and Sun. The sun was out and we had a lot of fun. I posted a couple items on Craig's list and sold some tires and my spare Scout II. I was going to fix it up, but it's been over a year and I have done little to fix it up. I did worked on my Fuel Injection wiring harness. It's time consuming to modifiy (first one) Should be able to do a pre test here soon. Got the adapter plate made last week, used 5/8 so I could use the stock bolts.

That's a real good question.

Right now the plans for the front are new brakes, hysteer arms, ARB, 35 spline outers, chromos, probably drive flanges(haven't decided) new bearings and seals, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to paint it purple just to irk Mechanos. :flipoff2: I'm open to opinions as none of my plans are in stone right now.

The rear will get discs(still looking at all my options) a detroit, and it may or may not get new bearings... it's out of a 97 and looks pretty clean, so I'll play that by ear.

Still haven't decided what ratio I'll be running, it's not a DD but the wife and I like to run errands in it, and I drive it to work a lot. Probably 4.56's and 39.5's

I'd like to have them completely built before I even think about putting them under the Scout. My financial manager(wife) has complete control over my budget so I may have them done in 6 months, or 6 years.

You and I think alike on that one, I did the same thing this weekend.

Thursday I delivered that little gem to Chiscouter, Friday I scrapped 1000 pounds of Scout sheet metal. I could have had well over a ton, maybe two if I had thrown the doors, doghouse, two 152s and the 304 on the trailer. After that I bought some shelves and cleaned my storage unit, then filled it right back up again on Saturday.

Sunday I went to the lake and drained the water pipes, nothing much to report there.

You broke 5.13 HP 60 gears? How'd you pull that off?

Good question, it really surprised me too.

It was wet last weekend, so I was running in single low and giving the 460 a pretty good workout. I didn't run any trails hadn't done before, but the conditions were way worse. I don't know exactly when it broke, we were leaving one trail heading to another and I heard this "clunk" coming from the front end that seemed to be in time with the rotation of the tires. It wouldn't do it at idle, so I was doing as easy of a front dig as you can do :D , and it made the most God-awful teeth shattering noise. I limped back to camp in 2WD, pulled the cover and I had a perfect pinion gear shaped section of teeth missing from my ring gear. In retrospect the "clunk" was probably from a single chipped or broken tooth on the ring gear, and when that tooth got around to the pinion during the front dig, to quote Tombstone, "the strain was more than it could bear."

I didn't think I was being that hard on it, and I figured that my stock Spicer u-joints would be the first to go in my front end.
