I am running a 3.8L Supercoupe motor in my new buggy with an auto, and I have a prime D60 that I can use, but it is pass drop.

So, does anyone have a D300 or anything pass side drop behind their C4 or C6? My main worry is driveshaft clearance on the passenger side of the case/pan, so please post driveshaft clearance pics if you have them...

thanks

I am running a pass drop Atlas clocked flat behing a C6 in my CJ and there is plenty of room for the drive shaft. The 'shaft was built by High Angle with a 1350 CV and I think it's a 2.5in diameter tube.

I am running a c6 with dana 300 (passenger side drop)

While the d-shaft is "close" "tight" or whatever you want to call it, it works well, with no rubbing.

I am running Cherokee XJ tubes which are 2.5" I believe....I know they are cherokee xj d-shafts, just am not at home right now to measure the diameter of them.

It will work. I am running this with a toy front under a v-8 samurai.

thanks.

for both of you- are your tcases clocked flat?

yup.

Also, I forgot to mention that my front axle is full width so this might make a difference if you narrow the axle at all. The full width combined with the atlas front output spacing works to move the shaft quite a ways from the tranny pan. If I had to guess, I probably have about 3 inches of clearance.

I'll be on fullwidths too. Any idea what the measurement is on the distance between the input shaft on the atlas and the front output yoke? Curious if it is close to the same as a D300.

IIRC, A/A increased this distance about 2 inches to accomodate the larger gears in the atlas.

I thought I would add to this post as I have a very similar scenerio.

Anyone made a married np205, passenger drop, work in their application. I want to mount one in a scout with a 351 and C6 to a passenger side d60 from a dodge? Or would the d300 be the better choice for transfer cases in this application?

Thank you.
