Here's what I got, Dana 44 and Ford 9" from 79 bronco, I know how to do the rear, just take perches off and re-weld, but the front is a little more difficult. How do I mount the coils? The bronco's buckets will be out of lined with the Explorers. Do I try to take them off and re-weld them in place then make new coil keeper to hold them in??? Also about my ABS what do I do with that??? Thanks for any advice:D

Since the coils will not line up, you will have to do one a few diffrent things to make it work. You can get a 77 and older front, that way you can cut the c-bushing mounts off and re-weld them where you need. Or move the spring towers outward on the frame to match up with the 79 front. Or cut that small amount of tube out of the 79 front untill it lines up. Of course this will cause all kinds of problems, the rear will be to wide, you will need a custom axle, ect. Or you make new coil mounts that don't go right where the stock 79 ones did. This is waht I did on a SAS of an s-10. I just had to turn the lower spring pads around to space them in or out alittle, I forget witch way I went.

In order to keep your ABS and maybe your speed-o (depending on year) You will need to swap in something with the same tone ring that uses the same pulse sensor. Maybe a 8.8, 10.25, 70, 80 or something else ford used. Or mount you tone ring and sensor to the 9". Some one on this page did that and looked like alot of work, but it was cool.

Either way it looks like you will have a lot of work to get the rears you have to fit the way you want them.

go here a couple people have done it http://board.rrorc.dns2go.com/

way more work than its worth :flipoff2:
do like emsoffroad said get a pre77 housing move the c wedges in and dont dick with shimming out the spring towers or radius arm brackets .

I have FS axles under my B2 by moveing the c's way easy and if ya dont like it a EB axle will be a bolt in .:D

He's right when you are on the trail you want stopping power. ABS is for ice and rain so you can keep control of the vehicle. ditch it.
