Any recommendations for places selling steel in the East Bay or Nor cal Bay Area?
Any group buys going on, etc? Looking for some 1.75 tubing.
Thanks,
Gui

Teamtube in W. Sac didn't have much in stock when I called a couple of weeks ago. I ended up at abc metals in Sac off of 50. Prices were a bit cheaper as well but not enough to warrent one place over another.
Call around and find out who has what you need.

Tube Service as long as you make the minimum for delivery, IIRC it's around $200-$250.
I'm back to buying smaller stuff from Allied Iron in Belmont. New owners were too high on there prices in the past few years but have finally come down to a reasonable price.
Metal Supermarkets in Redwood City just changed owners. The old owner Ron was flexable on price but still 30% higher than AI.
From what I hear the new owner, who also owns the MS in Hayward, has substancially raised his prices. Still good though for Rems and open on Saturday until noon.
Try EMJ in hayward. I order from them through work.

I hear tube service has good prices. Let me know if you decide to do a buy and I might be down for a stick or 2. Depending on how much $$ I can dig up.
Also have a trailer if you need that to go get it.
