Jtisdale 12-05-2006, 07:57 AM Possibly the last year of the Chili Challenge!!! Check the site regarding the proposed wilderness area where the CC is held.

So who is in?
DiscoDino 12-05-2006, 08:48 AM I read through it and missed when it was happening (date wise)
I'd love to go, whether in my Disco, new planned buggy or as shotgun if anyone can accomodate 250lbs of dead weight :flipoff2:
I could probably commit. This would give me the motivation needed to finish up a few things on my truck by then.
aloharover 12-05-2006, 10:49 AM Wow, reading the back ground info sounds like the big suck is on the horizon. I can see this having a real negative impact on some of the smaller ranches in the area :(
Jtisdale 12-06-2006, 03:57 PM Larry looks like its just you and me, Nadim we'll find some room come on down. If you can build a buggy in less than 3 months...well bring that too.
Tis
So no Pendy or Frankenrover?
Puffdragon 12-06-2006, 07:32 PM Im sure Bill and I will be there as usual. But I have a sneaking suspicion that Chilli challenge will continue on for some time to come. But I have been wrong before. Seems like every year, its to last time. Their always seems to be some big drama in the area.
Greg Davis 12-06-2006, 07:36 PM Hey, if my rig is done you can count me in!
So what's our choices for trails and when are we sending the registration in?
m016324 12-07-2006, 01:54 AM I'm going to try to make it this year but I'll be bringing my Ftoy since the d-90 hasn't run under it's own power in two or three years now.

rock90 12-08-2006, 08:06 AM Hi

Gambit 12-14-2006, 10:43 AM I was looking at the entry form for the Chile Challenge and am not sure I understand their trail rating system. Can anyone give me an idea of how hard their "hard" and "extreme" trails are? Perhaps relative to trails in Moab?
So when are we sending in the registrations?
FrankenRover 12-14-2006, 12:27 PM I will be There.
As far as difficulty goes, the CC runs are conservatively rated. the extreme runs are harder than any "established" runs in Moab besides the BFE area and possibly some of the newer extreme runs. All of the cc extreme runs are harder than Pritchett.
Frankenrover
Jtisdale 12-14-2006, 03:51 PM How's this?
Wed-Hab Falls
Thurs-tobacco twister
Friday-Patz Revenge
Sat-Rocotillo Rapids
???
Sounds good to me. Hopefully it isn't cold and rainy this year.
Rocotillo Rapids looked scary, this should be fun...
Greg Davis 12-28-2006, 01:29 PM Guys, I got my dates all wrong. I was thnking this was in Aug, not Feb! There's no way I'll be ready, so I will have to bow out gracefully.:emb2:

Buckon37s 02-10-2007, 11:19 AM I sent in my registration too late this year. Can we all just meet up and run some trails like a few years ago?
m016324 02-10-2007, 11:56 AM I'm pretty sure that's what KC and Bill are doing. I registered for the list that Tis put up above, but i'll be running whatever trails everyone else is.

Why? I was just going to call you!
Jtisdale 02-14-2007, 08:17 AM yeah, yeah...I know. Made some changes that I haven't had time to shake down and my trailer got stolen. I could go on and on, blah, blah, blah. I hate to miss it, those are some of my favorite trails!
Cirbo 02-15-2007, 11:00 AM So who's going?
Buckon37s 02-15-2007, 01:45 PM So who's going?
I am back on the fence right now. I am still recovering from a bad case of vertigo and if I don't feel better this weekend, I will have to cancell. Too bad because the truck is 100% :(
pendy 02-16-2007, 08:41 AM I'm out. For blah-blah-blah reasons. And my tunnel vision has me under the fence. Could be miserable down there with the weather this year. Could add to the experience.

Might as well have driven a Rover then! :flipoff2: Sorry about the breakage Ben, time for some 30 spline Longfields. I came back to ABQ Saturday afternoon and headed out to the Puerco on Sunday with the High Desert Rovers. Fortunately the wind had died down but it is back today.:mad3:
m016324 02-28-2007, 08:23 PM yeah it was good meeting you Harry and I actually found someone with a spare long on Saturday morning when I was leaving oh well such is life I'll get it fixed and next year I'll be out in full force
