I'm looking at their trip photos at http://homepage.mac.com/jefe/PhotoAlbum2.html and he's saying that both he and his son are running 36 TSL Radials. They don't seem to have the same siped center lugs and the kind of sidewall as the SSRs. Are they different model Swapers? What's the difference? How accurate is the 36" size compared to the bias? Thanks.

Yes SSR's and TSL radial are different. Different sidewalls, different rubber, different tread, added sipes. The TSL radials seem to be pretty true to size
