I run QA-1's 14-175's, but you may want 200 or 225 lbs springs. Have you weighed the front corners without axles.

You cannot use them.
These springs are "rated" for IFS which is a completly different suspension design with leverage acting on springs unseen in a solid axle aplication. I'd venture the guess that they would be at least double the rate desired for a sami straigth axle suspension.
If you're looking at junk yard cails look at something with a rear coils on solid axle, 4door sidekicks rears would probably match what you want...

Front 4 cyl TJ XJ coils maybe? the TJ rear coils are wide and soft.

I'd also suggest useing the QA1 coils. You can get darn near any size and rate you might need. They are compact and not very expensive.

I use Heep XJ front coils on my front and front TJ coils on the rear of mine. (they were free at the time) I only have the suzuki motor in so I am still light weight in the engine, but the coils are a good rate. I think that the XJ ones are rated near 190 and the tj ones are 175. Or close to that. The tj ones were too soft on the front and they are all from the 6cyl heeps.

Placement of the spring on the axle and design of the suspension can effect the rate of any spring on the vehicle. Something to think about. Thats why the QA1 springs are a good idea. The mounting will be the same and you can find them anywhere and there are even web sites that you can trade, buy and sell good ones that people like you are selling to find the right rate.

Ranger lift coils are in the 400-450 range, way too stiff. Rusty's TJ coils are in the 180 range, and the 3 inch lift coils could be had for about $100 for the fronts.

I have searched and found nothing. Could you mention any of the sites where you can buy/sell/trade used ones?

Thanks!

Mine are stockers. Aftermarket heep coils seem to be a lot of different rates by different manufacturers. If you can get this info it would make you ordering them better.
