I dont know what they have East of the rockys but I though I would iclude them. I think it would be cool to wheel with all the guys on the suzuki board.

I know this should be on chit chat but this is for suzukis ONLY

How about Disney Oklahoma and/or Poteu Oklahoma? These seem to be the mid-west hot spots and offer some very challenging terrain. It is about the closest to the center of the states as possible.

Any interest???????/

Not sure how many East Coast Zuks there are on the board, but we have a Zuk only event at the end of June up in Canada. It may not be Tellico, but then neither is Attica. It should be a good scocial with some trail rides, trophies, and door prizes. I have never been to Disney Ok. what are the trails like there?

AZ is in the middle of the rockcrawling universe :) Next March we'll do another AZ Rockfest, this time it will most likely be out in Florence Junction. I am also planning my 2003 spring vacation, 4-5 days, 2 in Farmington NM and the rest cruising around Colorado. The guys who did the Moab thing last month all seemed interested.

How about we start planning an event for Disney Oklahoma for later this year. How about early September. When it starts to cool down. Or how about next month (June) ????????

What is a good time for everyone else???? July and August are HOT in Oklahoma.

Lets do it....

I'm always good for OK, but it's gonna get rather warm soon....

I'd love to run some at Poteau, but what I've seen it's some VERY rugged stuff. That's hard on groups of any size, and real hard on all but the most extreme built SWB zuks. We'd need someone who knows the area well and can provide trails for the more streetable trucks....

Clayton is in limbo right now with the land closings. It's still wheelable, but you MUST know where you are at ALL times. There's a $150 fine if you cross the wrong dirt!

June is still decent weather for Disney, but the month is getting full. ProRocks has it Jun 8-9 and WMS is doing a Women's only run June 15th..... I'm pulling my truck down to do coils up front starting after Memorial day weekend. I'm going for completion and testing before Zookmelt in July... Maybe 35's in the near future.... :)

For the west, we already have the Rubicon Aug 7-11. Then there is always Moab in Easter.. Both good gathers of Zuks. Not Pirate exclusively, but is that needed?

Gadzuks has their Big Bear Bash in what, July? That is a pretty good gathering of Zuks in Southern California. and the ASA should be putting together a run in Southern California in the next year or so.

While I'm at it, there is also the Hollister run coming up., and Pismo happens once or twice a year. (sand)

What we are missing is a big Hammers run with Zuks.

OK in the Fall sounds good to me. That will give me time to get my rig tweaked, cage installed and more people to sign up than if it was next month.

A fall run is better for me. A few of us are going to Az to run with Chris and Eric this winter.

Hey Hank

I'm in Houston too and could use a Zuk wrenching buddy. I'm willing to help out for a  if you need it. I'm new to the Zuk world too, but I have about 1000hrs of research, saved documents and links in my arsenal. :D

I found a pretty cool spot to wheel just north of town in Old Town Spring too (cool for Houston that is). Where in Houston are you? I'm off 1960 near Champions.

It's the invisible intoxicant....It's called Everclear. :nuke:

Cool Jim,

Your talking about Spring Creek. Lots of mud, creek crossings, sand, a few stacked rock piles (by the corp of engineers). Some pretty cool trail riding. I live ten minutes from there, 7 miles down 1488 west off of I-45.

I love Spring Creek, drop your wife at the mall and go wheeling. Sometimes you make it back to get her, sometimes shit breaks!

My shiot broke last weekend! Fan belt. I'd rather have some company!
