: Where to get parts for SAS
Joshua J. Allan 05-09-2002, 09:36 PM I have looked for places to get the things for a SAS for my 94 F150, but can't find a place that has them. Does any one have any suggestions?
I've tried the wanted ads many times, but I have had no luck.
Thanks,
Joshua Allan

Joshua J. Allan 05-09-2002, 11:22 PM I'm looking for axle housing (most likely D44), axles, brakes, coil buckets, rad. arms, and steering components. Pretty much everything that would be underneith a Ford EB, or truck with a solid front axle with coils.
I'll have to check the width of my current front end, as I want it to stay some what close to what it is.
Thanks,
Joshua Allan
I'd like to find this stuff at a relatively cheap cost, as I'm still a high school student.
emsoffroad 05-10-2002, 12:10 AM No need to change the coil buckets, the new ones will fit the old springs.

Not trying to be a dick but those two words "cheap cost" and SAS do not belong in the same context. Whenever you do something like this it ALWAYS cost 3-4 times more than expected.

I agree, that's the best way to find a complete cheap axle. If you score a complete axle it's about 150-200 dollars at pick n pull. You'll need a 76-79 coil sprung d44 out of a f150 or fullsize bronco. You're in carmichael, what do we have like 4 pick-n-pulls in the vicinity? get to lookin. Or you could pay me in beer and cover the cost of the axle and i'll hunt one down.

True, but you can use longer shocks (and ditch the bayonet style ones) by going with a 78/79 spring bucket and 80-97 F-250 shock towers. All available at your friendly Ford dealership for minimal cost ($25/ea for buckets and $8/ea for towers??).

ya gota part # on the buckets :D
emsoffroad 05-11-2002, 11:33 AM Not all 250's use the eye style mounting for the shock. The two F-250s I have (84 and 85), if its a D44 it has stud style shock mounts, the D50 TTB has the eye style. The two F-350s I have(86 and 90) use the eye style mounting. Just make sure you order the right part number. Or order the ones for a 350.
dblue351 05-12-2002, 09:21 PM Shock towers for f-250 part number= E5TZ18183A
13.66 each.
I used them so i could run 9012's and love them.
