For those who weld/shorten axle housings I would like to ask:
1) What type of rod to use, and how many amps. I do a little welding but never something this "critical", like axle knuckles. But thought I might give it a shot. Should I take them to a shop instead?
2) What is the easiest way to get the knuckles straight (lined up with each other. I don't have a lathe big enough to set it up in for center.
3) I know I'm pushing it :goofball: ...but is there a sano and easy way to get the knuckles lined up, castor angle set, and the spring pads set(pinion and castor angle) at the same time?
Big Thanks
