I got a Powertrax No-Slip locker for the 8 1/4" rear and if the rear diff is like the front I'll need to remove the carrier to install.Gotta remove the ring gear to get the pin out. Will I need to re-set the engagement of the gears?I make a living turning wrenches on Harley's so I can do it,just need to know how much lift time to get.

You do not need to remove the carrier to install a No-Slip in the 8.25. Give yourself about 2 hours to do the install. That's how long it took me to do the job with no lift, hand tools and a lunch break.
