: Too high of a pinion angle?

I'm getting ready to SOA my 90 YJ. I'm putting in a high pinion dana 60 and using 1.5" RE springs. I have a NP 231 t-case with a SYE with a CV driveshaft.

I know I have to set my pinion angle 1-2 degrees below the t-case output shaft.

What degree is going to be too much and will hinder gear lubrication? Should I park on a hill and then fill the diff to get more fluid?

I know my pinion angle will be different from others, but what approximate degree zone am I looking to get into?

This HP60 you mention is in the rear, right?

I run my std rotation 60 at 23 degrees and it works fine

then you have nothing to worry about. I run SOA with a SC 60 rear and my drive line is about 22 degrees, no binding.

You can weld in another fill plug higher in the diff cover.
