: lifting my 88 f250

im new to the whole 4x4 scene and bought a 1988 f250. i have 33's on it and i want to lift it about three inches. i have the blocks for the back, can someone help on how i lift the front???? thanks, larry

Buy a lift kit? (brackets, pitman arm and springs)

if u want just three inches just get a body lift from summit racing hole 70 bucks and u will have everything u need and be done in no time at all

if i do the body lift do i have to mess with the 4 wheel linkage

Just notch the floor pan, or bend the linkage a bit other wise your Tcase won't engage the most forward position or 4 low (in my case)
Biggest thing about body lifts is the clutch rod extension going through the floor boards (manual) or linkage extension for the auto.
Also, radiators, fans and fan shrouds will not be aligned. So either drill new holes in your radiator support, and lower your radiator (recommended) or cut the bottom half of your fan shroud off.

find a d60 front from a similar year truck. then you go out and buy leaves from a similar year f350 cab and chassis truck that had 2wd that will give you about 6" of lift. then just buy some shocks and brake lines. super easy. or find a hpd44 that had weld on c's and just mount some perches on it. and make some steering linkage.
