We are expanding a existing motorcycle shop to build full customs frame up. When we are putting frames together should dual shield be necessary? We have a snap on mig/tig combo and I dont think it will handle the spool size of dual shield so we would need to buy a new welder. I prefer the miller but it is all I have ever used. I ran a search and did not come up with much, anyone have any suggestions or experience???

It is a process meant for high penetration in metal thicker than 1/4". It is primarily a spray transfer process, but can be run at a bit lower voltage and current for globular transfer. The low end voltage/current range for .035 wire is around 23volts and 220 amps. It takes a big machine to burn it, and I'm relatively certain that you have nothing in a motorcycle frame that would require it.

I agree. It's for thicker items and a higher deposition rate.
