I am looking for some miniature drum sander arbors, like this picture, but w/ 1/4" shaft for my die grinder.

I have quite a few of these for my dremel, but would like to use the the higher powered die grinder, and it needs to have a 1/4" shaft. Google has turned up nothing great.

Idealy I would like ones for 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" drums, and would like to find abrasives in the grit of 120 or higher. If you have a source for some with extended length shanks, that would be great as well.

Thanks,
Jaosn

1/2" drums are the smallest available for 1/4" shank

You could see if an 1/8" collet is available for your die grinder, McMaster has all three sizes you listed available with 1/8" shanks.

HF sells a kit but they specifically state on the packaging it won't hold up to 10k rpm. And only one has a 1/4" shank. Still, for the $20 price tag and with proper safety gear you really don't have much to lose except an inexpensive tool

Thanks,I never thought about Mcmaster carr, Those are some pretty good prices. I guess I am going to search for a 1/8" collet for my die grinder, the paper work that came with it said there was one available, and I tried to buy it when I bought the die grinder, but the distributor didn't have it and couldn't get it.

Thanks for the HF link as well, but they are too big for what I need.

I use all of my dremel attachments with a die-grinder.

Just need that 1/4 to 1/8 adapter. :smokin:

Edit:

Here you go, a link. The third item down.

X2 it would be nice to me to have money to throw away on cheap tools but I would go with the dremel.

Really depends on what ou are using it for.

A dremel is very adjustable, and is much more suited for "hobby" use.

Ive been running a $10 Harbor freight die grinder for years. These things really can take a beating. :D
