Anyone have a stand for a porta band like this?

If so does it have angle adjustments or does it only cut 90*? It sure would be nice if it adjusted to 45*.

I've used the Milwaukee version of that stand and they are designed for square cuts. I'm building a stand for mine that will adjust for angle cuts but I don't think a blade that small will cut round tube well at angles without creeping to the side as it descends unless it descends really slow.

I bought a new Jet band saw with the stand. It has the ability to cut a 6" piece. It will stand at 90degree and came with the plate for using it as a traditional upright bandsaw. New it cost $250. I don't think you and touch a portable band saw with the stand for that price.

I agree with Dan. I have the same Jet saw and am very pleased. Mine actually came to the door for $219 from Amazon, but I've had it for about 3 years.

I also have a Milwaukee AC/DC 2 speed porta-band. It's handy in ways the Jet is not. I cut the front part of my Jimmy's cage out the other day, no sparks no fuss. I got the porta-band on clearance from my local Home Depot for $177 :grinpimp: and would like to have the stand. Just not going to pay 30% MORE than the saw cost for something to sit it on. :flipoff2:
