I am down to last of my scout fund for the year and I found some 60s that are in my budget, but I also got a call last night form a guy who has a real clean 800. I left a note on his windshield a couple of months ago, askin' him to call me when he got ready to sell. I didn't get to talk to him but I expect the price will be about the same as the 60's:question: Anyone got a vote? The 60's are for my SII build up.

I dunno..I got my 60's for a hell of a deal and it still cost me a fortune to put it all together...Might be wiser to stick with a 44 if you already have one...and I like the earlier Scouts over the II's

I agree with the previous statement: my 60's cost much more to install than to buy. If youve got huge tires youll save in long run though. I would still go with the whole vehicle, because the neighbors or your family will be much happier you bought another scout to put in the driveway/yard, than two measly axles.

What do I know, I'm just a newbie

See, look at my post up there. I even screwed up the signature. What an ass!

Get the 800, there will always be a set of 60's around somewhere. I'll even sell you a set all that they need is a front ring and pinion.

The guy wants 1500.00  for the 800 must be the appearance of a scout on ER that has shot the prices sky high ;). I guess I will keep shopping.

As for the 60 vs 44 thing I got stuck with a jackass PO who swapped out a 44 for 30 :mad3: I have the orginal window sticker that said it came with a 44 but he swapped it out for a disk 30 with some caster.

So I either need to buy a 44 and all the goodies, or I can buy a 60. Seems like if I got to do it, do it all the way....

I got to be the fastest changer of x260s in the west though ;) I can't imagine the carnage when (if  ) I get the BB running.
