Remember hearing from someone that the 37"MTR's were going for under 2bills. Just looked at em at 4wheel parts and they are still like gold for the 17" rims anyone have the info on this? Was it only at one place for that price?

Just picked up a set for $175. each at America's tire in Orangevale. Course, they're not the 17" ones. 37x15's

I don't think you're gonna get 17"ers for anywhere near that price... :(

i got my 15" version for $180 from a local goodyear dealer, at least i did not have to pay shipping for 4 84 lb tires. But as for the 17" version i have not seen them for under 400.

I have a set of brand new BFG Projects I could sell you. Paid close to $1700 with tax. Never mounted--havent even bought the rims yet! Could use the cash for other projects right now.
Bitchen new size 14.5R/35-17's. Email for pics if interested. Great tire for the tow rig! Half allterrain (outer tread) and half mudder (inside). Will sacrifice for $1000!

Jason :)

I'm not in too big of a rush to get them, but I'm planning on buying them this summer before fall semester hits and the money flow slows to dripping mode. I'm running a 35" mudder right now and I want something bigger because I'm going to be doing some custom spring mounts yadeyadeya. So I want at least a 37 under it. So my choices for decent wear are the mtr or the BFG AT and we don't use no stinkin' AT's! :flipoff2: :flipoff2: So I figure if I can get the mtr's at the good price I'll buy some cheap new 17" rims and the mtr's otherwise it's SSR radials. :D

why are you so stuck on the 17" size???? it sounds like you just want some 37's so why not just get 37x15? Even if you have one ton shit you can make them fit

Go to Utah valley tire and see Rick and tell him I sent you. He just priced me a set of 35" MT/R's for my XJ (I know....wussy on this board....) for $175 per for the 15". I know the 37" were more but I think they were just under or just over $200. Call him on the 17" and see what he can do. He doesn't even nickel and dime you to death on the mounting and balancing, and Goodyears are bought balanced and rotated for life from a Goodyear dealer.

17" rim no grinding, holds the tire better at lower pressure, less sidewall to have punctured
