Hay guys need some more knolage on the TB unet agen

89 350 with 700r4 TB FI blah blah blah ya know

this is my dads truck and we were out crusing and he turned on to this moderet hill nothing to write home about and there was that rocker rattle that you get if your on poor gas or your timimg is off (sounds like marbles in a can...I guess) he hit the gas and for a split second it made 1 large rattle and then it was gone and pulling strong. I thought the computer was keeping everything in tune so it does not do that? any idead please

My two wheel drive did that a couple of times. The only thing I found was that one of my spark plug wires had a small hole in it, and sometimes it would get close enough to the manifold to arc, causing the truck to bog down just a little, and make that same sound.
