: Sidekick rear under a sammy?

I have 2 spare rear housings for a sidekick, and I've been wanting to do a link setup on my sammy, so I JUST thought about putting a housing under my sammy so that I already have a coil mount location, links and shocks, and I have a platform for my top links. How would that sound? I would not have to spend money on a hybrid, and I would be wider.

u mean like mine?

for a start the coil mounts didnt line up so out riggers or moving the mounts in on the axle is needed then the standard Y link and links where trash so i made them bigger and better it flexes well using all stadndard ball joints and bushes and i havnt worn them out yet after 4 wheelsing events but now going 4 link with yotas my setup worked well.

just to let u know the fronts spoa on RUF standard lenght shackles that flexs well.

I put them under my sami but with leafs, so I cant answer for the coil stuff .. While they are decent and worked alright, you have to be aware of 1 major setback. The weakest point of the axle is where it tapers down by the differential so if you were to break an axle you have a good shot at taking out your rear diff also(I know first hand).

its a stock sammi drive shaft extended by about an inch to compensate for teh longer distance of going from offset to centre of the vechile. my buddy runs a sidekick rear on his spoa suzuki and it works well.:flipoff2:
