Well, I decided to chance it and go with Ironman suspension's 2" type B lift kit and I have completed the install. It rides a bit stiffer than I anticipated but overall it is very nice. I took it out and did some fairly mild trail driving and it handled it wonderfully. Of course, 2" is not enough of a lift for serious off-roading but I think the kit compares well to OME's HD kit.

The kit came complete with ALL bushing for the suspension. It also came with new hardware, and of course the shocks and springs. The only item I had to purchase seperatly was shock towers (due to rust holes in mine).

If anyone is interested I can give you contact info for a distributer in Michigan. They sell the entire kit for $465 including shipping to your residence in the 48. I really don't know how to post pics up here but can send them to anyone interested.

Sorry to hear this. Now start saving up for the OEM rubber bushing replacements for when these wear out. They wear much quicker than the OEM rubber, or at least did for me.

Interesting...I can't imagine polyurethane bushings wearing faster than rubber bushings.

Fear not the mighty sawzall!

Seriously if you leave it at 2" you haven't drastically effected the steering/handling characteristics yet. Just start cutting until you can git the tires you want and then run it.
