I just got myself a 1982 Chevy C10 pickup and i found that the bastard's frame flex's more than the suspention... i was wondering how to get rid of the frame flex.. and get more articulation..:smokin:

weld all the crossmembers in place

check your frame up by your steering box for cracks too. Lots o' flex, big tires and lift will crack it bad. If it isn't cracked already, as preventative measures, get the weld in and bolt in brace kit from ORD. If it is already cracked, drill your crack ends, weld em up, install both previous said brace kits. A must do.
As far as for the rest of the frame, boxing it in might help.

That will make it more rigid

the chev frame has no crossmembers on the top half of the frame rail from the first crossmember back to the rear cab mounton top of that the first crossmember is pretty flimsy stuff, the engine crossmember is flimsy, the transmission crossmember doesnt help matters, , the cab mount is the first good crossmember IIRC

so the rails have plenty of unsupported length

C10 = 2wd 1/2 ton, K10 = 4wd 1/2 ton

:D

a good way to reduce frame flex is to get a c30 or k30 frame and do the repair to it
