Just got back from Wales and the Rasydaf Offroad Challenge. For those of you unfamiliar with it, the Rasydaf is an invite only event run over virgin terrain that sees some 35 vehicles in a gentlemanly competition. Don't quote me but I believe all the profits (or the majority) go to various charities. Unfortunately the heep wasn't ready to compete so we ended up taking pics and marshalling. I guess we did a good enough job as we got an invite to come back to next years event. Seen a bunch of modded vehicles (most of the top drivers from the challenge events go) to include LRs, a couple Ibexs, a G-Wagon, YJ, CJ, TJ, suzis, and even a Mitsubi Shogun (I think...didn't pay much attention to it as it was fairly stock with IFS). I've put up approx 150 pics at http://www.darksiderz.co.uk/competitions/rasydaf/index.htm

looks like a nice event but i did'nt see any mods there.
don't tell me that there are'nt any 4x4s in England with some real
modifications and custom building. if this is a highly regarded closed event with challenge events drivers... :emb::emb:
although nice, it looks somewhat like a weekend get together
of the neighbourhood's offroaders...;) ;)

True that Frog.
Its very different here as compared to peeps that frequent this board. Its very cost prohibitive here and the supply of bulletproof junkyard parts is very few and far between. Can't say I've seen an offroad vehicle with over 35" tires since I have been here. Roll cages are terribly expensive and even finding someone qualified to set up gears or install an ARB is difficult.
