there is nothing wrong with a 14B, or a 70.

im using the 14 bolt because i have it - ( 3 to be exact ) one has 4.56 gears and a detroit - but the tubes are bent -bad - ( rollover at 85 + ) - then a motorhome dull. but the spindles are f#%ked - then a 78 with 60K original - never off road - i'm going to pop its cherry - :grinpimp:
yeah there is something wrong with 14ff, 2 somethings
the housing is made with a large wall stuck to the bottom
chevy guys will lord about you having a chev part on your ford

All depends on what year the 14 bolt is out of and if it was in a 3/4 ton truck or a 1-ton truck.
