Does anyone have any pictures of a lower coilover mount that incorporates the two bolt holes on the top of the factory radius arms? I need to fab up lower mounts and I wanted to use the factory lower coil spring mounting location.
Secondly does anyone have any suggestions/opinions on the importance of mounting the lower end bolt perpendicular or parallel to the frame?
Thanks

I don't have any close-up photos of it but on my brother's EB we just cut out a section of a piece of heavy wall rectangular tubing. It just uses 3 sides of the tubing, sort of shaped like a U. The shock bolt goes through a hole on each side of the U, and the two mounting bolts go through the bottom of the U into the stock threaded holes in the radius arm and cap. Very simple at it works well on his EB. Here's a photo that you can kinda make out the mounts in:

As for how to orient the bolt, this method kind of necessitates that the bolt be perpendicular to the frame. I suppose on an extremely flexy rig you might bind the heim on the shock mount at full flex if mounted this way. Making the bolt parallel would solve this but make it approach bind earlier in droop. You'll just need to cycle your suspension to find out what works best for your setup.

Two tabs on the top of the C with the bolt parallel to the frame is how i would do it. It willl help greatly with the stability, or so i am told.
I have seen some done off the two little bolts up top, but they were cantalevered out toward the C so far that the two bolts constantly loosened and ended up requiring a gusset to the C.

Dusty, what size tires are those on the Bronco and is there any rubbing at all on the c/o's on full stuff?
