Just in case anyone was thinking about buying a hoist - picked this up today after a few failed attempts at renting and borrowing.

This is a 2 ton folding hoist - the hook clears the bed by 48" at the 1 ton setting. Could go higher at the 1/2 ton setting.

Folds up small enough to get through the gate to the side yard, and it should be relatively simple to load into the truck when i go scrounge parts.

$179 until 5/13.

FYI We sell nearly the same unit (they all look the same, somtimes the wheels are cheaper than others) for $180 here in Iowa, so check your local parts store. You won't have to mess with shipping :smokin:

I wish my hoist was folding - the thing is huge and a pain to store anywhere :(

Looks like you could make it fold with some channel and a few casters.
