I need to know what size the transmission to block bolts are for an 81 Blazer with 305 In it. I got the truck with no tranny but also got 2 trannys with it but no bolts for it.

How bad is it if we got a set of those bolts but theyre 1.5" long instead of 1.25"??? Will they bottom out to soon and chance cracking anything?

here is whats gonna happen:

-you use a too long of a bolt and have to stack 10 washers to make it work
-you use too long of a bolt that you are stacking 10 washers on that is crappy ass Grade 3 hardware that will break
-OR you could go to the store and buy the right length and grade of bolt, probably at least Grade 5 and do it right the first time.

I wasnt sure how much "extra" room there was on the end of the bolt. And the ones we got are just "test fit" bolts and theyre grade 5. We plan on getting some grade 8 bolts for the final install and well get them 1.25" long.

Also are the bolts from the trans to t-case the same or a different size?
