i have been lookin for a tow rig, and plan to drive a few next week. i am liking what i see with the 2001ish 1500 and 2500. my question is, how high, is too high for miles on a truck? i would not worry about a truck with 95k, but what about 150k+? i can get in a clean 2500 for around 10-12k with high miles, but i wonder how long these trucks go. any info on them would help.

little more info on my search, i have narrowed it down to GMC and dodge, for a dodge i want at least at 2002, and most of them are bit too expensive, plus the comfort features and styling of the GMCs seem nicer. if the f250s had better interior i would get that for sure, i just hate the interior of those.

Depends on how the PO maintained it, if it was built on a Wednesday or Friday, how you will use it, etc. etc. etc. My current tow rig is a 91 GMC with almost 500k miles on one motor and one tranny build. Hell, one rig on the lot might be months away from needing a new motor with only 100k on the ticker while another might go 200k+.
