Has anyone used this product? If so what are your thoughts?

Since you can program 4 computers can you load the settings (fuel and spark curves) from one computer into another identical computer?

I'm guessing you can change the fuel curves by however much the computer would allow for and not just a percentage of what the current programmed curve is???

Thanks!

Not familiar with that. I would seriously look at HP Tuners. Its probably the best tuning software for OBDII late model stuff. I know its very popular with all the dyno tuning done on late model vetttes, camaros,ta's,etc. thats what I use on the Z28,works awesome

I think thats the old tunerCats stuff that jet performance bought out. It suppose to be the best. It should allow full PCM tunning. Bad thing is Jet increased the price Tunercats whan they bought it! It was like 380 bucks!

Some of what the TunerCats would do.

The HP tuners looks sweet. I like the fact that you can scale changes across the fuel and timing maps. It's a little more than the Jet but I like the fact that they're still independent. Who knows what Jet took out of the Tunercats software and their website isn't the greatest. Thanks bullet!

Thanks Bo. It's now 475 ish but full tuning is what I'm after. It looks like enough changes can be made to get me in a lot of trouble :)

Edit: The HP doesn't support the 5.7 dang it.

the ls1's in the camaros & vettes are 5.7,now they are 6.0 in the vettes and GTO's. Just call them. In fact i have a hot rod mag or something with a full article tuning their project silverado. Is your engine the older 5.7vortec-as in ol school sbc(not a gen III design)?

L31 '99 vortec 5.7 suburban motor basically. They do the 99 trucks but those are the LS motors. I downloaded the Jet trail program and it's pretty detailed. I went to tunercats and they stop now at all the TBI stuff so I think Jet did take the tunercat stuff and release it under their name.

Do you guys know any good tunercat 5.7 programming groups? I'm thinking of throwing a whipple on it and I want to know if I can compensate enough with tuning so that I don't need the whipple add-on computer.

OK, whipple won't fit. It will hit hydroboost.

I phoned Jet today. The program won't do live or record features. Basically you need another source to record data and then you can use the jet to program. HP Tuners would be perfect but they don't do 5.7's. Now I'm looking at snap-link to take the data from my mt2500 and record it into my computer for review. I don't know if it shows actual diastolic (sp) readings or just the 02 sensor readings. Ideas that aren't 600 plus bucks to record data on a wideband type of reading?

The L31 is a Gen I 350 with CFI injection and vortec heads. Which chevy used in 1999 for carryover (classic) OBS (EXT cab only) trucks.

I have a 99 C1500 with the L31. The injectors are limited to 19LBs on hour. So you will make no more than 400HP even with a wipple. And their are no aftermarket injectors for the CFI. Your best bet with the wipple is a marine intake swap (which have regular injectors) swap in bigger injectors.

Look here for info on upgades for the L31, serarch for the screen name hog. He's done alot to the L31.

Ahh,thats right, the burbs &tahoes did have the L31 in 99,while the silverados had the 4.8/5.3 LS1 vortec. Not sure who can tune those, but the L31 is stout-nodular carank,4bolt main block. Tear it up!

Actually, I own a 1999 C1500 old body style with the L31! Chevrolet made a few obs trucks in 1999 till the new trucks came out later and they called them classics. They were all ext. cabs and had either a 350 or 305.

It's just like 2007 models were they have the (GMT-800) OBS and are calling them "classics" and the new redesigned 2007 (GMT-900).

Thanks Bo, nice forum! I don't care so much about 400 hp if I can have 450 foot lbs. I bit the bullet and ordered the jet tuner. We'll see...

Thanks for all your help.
