What engine do i have and will it be able to tow an Xj up a mtn to tellico, NC? with out any problems?

You have the 4.5 litre 24 valve inline 6 cyl. Yes it should be able to tow an xj no problem.

Two people in our club just towed their FJ-40's from Dallas to Moab (1000 miles) with their FZJ-80's.

One used a tow dolly and had no problems at all and the other struggled on hills badly with a 16 ft trailer.

I used to tow with mine too.

Just keep it in DRIVE and keep it under 70 and you will be golden.
