Posted this in chit chat - so don't sue me for posting here also. Wasn't sure how mud would go over on this side of the fence :D
Just wanted to catch some of the mud guys that don't do chit chat ;)
First Bog of the year ( or puddle race ) .
I would be safe in describing this bog as our bug out run because we certainly encountered quite a few bugs. Our adventure started with the trip down. We've been talking about weighing the Knight and saw the perfect opportunity as we were driving past a scale. Great we said. Pulled over, made sure the scale worked, unstrapped the knight and got in to start it. "Click" is about as much as we could get . Batteries were dead. Just great. Well so much for weighing her. Strapped the truck back up and continued driving to the bog. Once we got there, we needed a boost to get the Knight off the trailer. The pit was gooey and deep as usual for Fort Macleod. Not many trucks showed up but we still had a great day. The weather was beautiful and there were a good bunch of guys that brought their trucks. It seems a lot of the trucks were still being worked on and couldn't make it. Halladay's nitrous Ford had a blown engine. He had ran it 38 seconds on nitrous and blew it. Hope he gets back in it soon. Missed Al White with his S-10 on Nitrous. Hope to catch him next time. We were to have two runs a piece. I took the first stab at it and bogged at the end of the pit. There was a wall there just waiting for me. The Knight wasn't running well. Couldn't get it past 4000 rpm. Something was off. Robin was next and he said the same thing. The Mercedes( yes I said Mercedes) did good. On our second shot Robin was to go first . He was gunning her at the deeper end when the front passenger tire stopped turning. Blew the hub and a stub shaft. Looked like he was trying to climb the pit wall. Hard to tell in the Knight as you cannot see a thing -always totally covered in mud. That sucked as I would have been the last one to go and would have had an excellent chance at BEATING him . The Mercedes( yes I said Mercedes) went after Rob and got a little further into the pit. I had to bow out of my run . The Mercedes( yes I said Mercedes) won..... Also did in the windshield . Seems a rock was thrown at it when running the bog.
Below is an attempt to a merged mpeg . Towards the end you’ll note the passengers front tire stopping. That’s when the hub and stub shaft busted ( That’s on part#2 on the others).
Have 4 days to get the truck ready for a 4 day wheeling trip. Can’t wait. Woo Hoo.

If that doesn’t work, here are the three small ones of one of the runs.
