: thinking of going to push button start?

my key cylinder on the colum of my 93 YJ is going bad. it doesn't like to turn any more, so I'm thinking of going to toggel switches, and a push button for the starter.
the wiring looks simple enough, I can pull the two connectors out of the ignition switch that is under the dash, and the wires will reach to where I want to mount the switches. however, I'm wandering weather it would be better to run relays, or just get some high amp switches?

oh, and regardless of weather I run relays or not, would it be better to have multiple switches(like one for ignition, one for accesories, etc..) or just one switch for everything?

thanks,
muddyj

I ran accessories & lights with relays on seperate switch from engine operations but no it can run through one (overkill 30A) switch . Electric fans & lights (high current draws) run from relays . Tried drawing 30A through a 30A switch and it does get hot . I changed all inside & tail lights to high intensity LED's to reduce current draw
