I'd love to help, but my Rockstompers have entered week 8 of backlog, so I've yet to receive them.

your dealing with two flat piecesof steel, they won't touch unless you cone them in that far. Be careful not to tighten too much because you are pre-loading them on the rubber. My cameron's go 15 lbs. (32 bolt)

so.... since they are not to surfaces touching, when i torque them to 15lbs, can i just forget them?, or do i have to run around like a mad man torquing them every day. BUT! if they do not stay tight.....cant' cut a ring the thickness of the gap beetween the two rings and weld it on the ring thaton the rim, so then it would be two surfaces touching:D

i run a v-belt (fan belt b series) on the in between the rings on the oposite side of the bolts as the tire bead and it works pretty good.

You have 15" wheels?

What length v-belt? I'm expecting my rockstompers soon, and I'd just as soon be prepared with everything I need before they arrive.

Thanks.

Well, this might not help you, my american friends, hopefully it will:

I run a Canadian Tire 17-405 fan belt in my 15 inch rock stompers. It does not STOP the coing, only because it simply is not wide enough. I run SXs. I think on a tire with a thinner bead, it would work fine. It DEFINITELY reduces coning (compared to BillaVistas), and I think it eases the tightening work load, just my seat of the pants feeling.

Anyway, a 17-405 belt is 40.5 inches long. Where it might not help you is the '17' part - I'm guessing this refers to the width in millimeters, so I don't know what that is in inches, but I DO know it was the widest one they had - I wanted a wider one due to the bead thickness, but that was as wide as it got.

Hope that helps.

Regarding how often you have to tourque them:

I've had mine for about 3 months, I've checked them twice and so far no bolts have loosened. Not a DD, though. My general feeling is as long as you get good load on each bolt, then the actual amount or 'even ness' of the tourque is not critical. I tourqued mine all equally, but gave up trying to get them all to the spec'd tourque of 10~15 ft/lbs.
